Project Architecture & Overview

OpenTrip Nusantara connects verified local tour operators with adventurers across Indonesia. Features a web admin portal for managing departure quotas, customer reservations, tour guide directories, and chat oversight. On the traveler side, the Flutter mobile app provides curated exploration feeds for premier destinations (Bromo, Labuan Bajo, Bali), interactive conversational AI itinerary advice, direct logistical messaging with tour leaders, and digital booking passes.

Encountered Problem:

Two concurrent users clicking pay in the exact same millisecond caused overbooking on final tour slots.

Engineering Solution:

Implemented PostgreSQL database transactions with row-level locking (SELECT ... FOR UPDATE) in Supabase stored procedures to guarantee atomic seat decrements.
